Cebs to disclose stress-test results, says EU Council

The European Council has specified that the results of stress tests carried out on European Union banks this year should be published by the Committee of European Banking Supervisors (Cebs), to improve market transparency.

Cebs was mandated by the Economic and Financial Affairs Council to carry out this year's tests to assess "the dependence of EU banks on public support and on the amount of capital available for further lending in the context of exit strategies".
