Ice Trust US appoints new president

Atlanta-based IntercontinentalExchange (Ice) has appointed Christopher Edmonds as president of Ice Trust US, the credit default swap clearing counterparty. Edmonds, who most recently served as chief executive of International Derivatives Clearing Group, the New York-based interest rate swap and fixed income derivatives clearing house, replaces Dirk Pruis, who has stepped down to spend time with his family.

As president, Edmonds is responsible for managing the operational and regulatory aspects of Ice Trust. He will be based in New York.
