Deutsche shifts DCM head to group treasurer

Deutsche Bank has named Alexander von zur Muehlen as group treasurer. He replaces Chris Whitman, who is now global co-head of equity capital markets. Von zur Muehlen was previously global co-head of DCM and corporate coverage in Europe, working with Hakan Wohlin. Saleh Romeih will now partner Wohlin.

Romeih was formerly head of DCM and corporate coverage in Asia, a position he held from January 2006. Previously he worked in Deutsche’s global markets division in London. Romeih has worked for Deutsche since its acquisition of Bankers Trust in 1999, which he joined in 1994. At Bankers Trust, Romeih was responsible for derivatives sales to eastern European and Middle Eastern companies. Both Von zur Muehlen and Romeih will be based in London.
