Lehman promotes Mark Benson from fixed-income head

Lehman Brothers has announced the promotion of Mark Benson to its European executive committee, from his eight-year position as head of European fixed income. In his new role, Benson will liaise more closely with Jeremy Isaacs, chief executive of Lehman’s business in Europe and Asia.

Benson’s new responsibilities include wealth and asset management, private equity and Lehman’s sub-prime mortgage lending business, as well as strategy and risk management.
