New equity derivatives head leaves Credit Suisse

Jerome Drean, Credit Suisse’s London-based head of European equity derivatives trading, has left the bank.

He had been at Credit Suisse for less than two months, after joining from Bank of America. He is thought to have resigned for personal reasons, and Credit Suisse has yet to announce a replacement for him.

Drean formerly reported to Simon Yates, Credit Suisse’s head of global equity derivatives and co-head of European equities. He was recruited among a number of other new hires, following the bank’s formation of an equity derivatives product group. In the reshuffle his predecessor, Grant Rippetoe, moved to Hong Kong to run trading across non-Japan Asia equities customer businesses.
