DrKW adds to credit derivatives team in Japan

Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein has hired Michael Gordon as director of credit derivatives trading in Tokyo. He was previously a credit derivatives trader at Enron Credit in Japan.

Gordon will report to Mark Mallia, head of credit trading in Japan, and comes to the newly created position after spending a year at Enron. Before that, Gordon was a credit trader at Rabobank in Japan for three years.

Mallia said Gordon would help provide advanced credit derivatives products to DrKW's Asian clients.

Dresdner has made several additions to its global debt team in the past few months, most notably hiring Robert Motoshige as head of hedge fund sales in Asia. Gordon’s arrival also comes just a month after Rick Weinstein was made head of credit derivatives in London.

The German bank said it has further plans to expand its credit derivatives business.
