Deutsche hires Grenier from Fidelity

Deutsche Asset Management (DeAM) has hired Bart Grenier as head of its speciality fixed income business – a newly created position. Grenier joins Deutsche Bank’s asset management arm from Fidelity Asset Management and Research, where he was a senior vice president.

Grenier, who will begin his new job in mid-June, will report to Kevin Parker, DeAM's global head. Grenier’s speciality fixed income remit encompasses management of a variety of assets beyond straightforward investment-grade debt, including structured credit, high-yield and emerging market debt.

Prior to joining Deutsche, Grenier was at Fidelity for 15 years. Most recently he had responsibility for investment groups that managed more than $500 billion worth of assets.

Grenier will become a member of DeAM's operating committee.
