FPL eyes latency standards
After delivering standards for market data compression and algorithmic strategy distribution, messaging standards body FIX Protocol Ltd. (FPL) plans to launch the FIX Inter-party Latency (FIPL) Working Group, which will begin mid-month, FPL officials tell DWT.
"This working group is about developing a method to measure latency and share that information," says Kevin Houstoun, co-chair of the FPL global technical committee and chairman of Rapid Addition. "It will work equally with FIX or FAST
