Robust foreign exchange market suffers from a blip of low volatility

Foreign exchange funds expect a lack of near-term volatility to give way to stronger movements, while a Merrill Lynch survey has provided an unusual analysis of FX market reaction to data announcements.

US forex and commodity trader JW Henry noted it has been "surprised by the lack of trends in the foreign exchange markets" of late.

However, Mark Rzepczynski, JWH president, says he is "confident there will be an increase in the set of opportunities as the macro adjustments move through the system
