Family fortunes hostage to ego and conflicting goals in multi-family offices, experts say

"The mentality of the family office is under siege," according to Lord Iveagh, chairman of Arundel Iveagh Fund Management, as divergent investment priorities and philosophies pull single family offices (SFO) in conflicting directions.

Speaking at Hedge Funds Review's Family Office Leadership Summit, he said the model is strained as family members jostle to have voices heard in key decisions. Disagreements can even occur between spouses or other members of an immediate family, Lord Iveagh noted
