Commodities trading volumes boom in 2007

Volumes of Nymex energy and metals products traded on the CME Globex platform more than tripled in 2007 to reach an average of 757,000 contracts per day, and grew by 130% in Q4 2007 alone, representing a sixth consecutive quarter of growth.
