Deals of the Year: Ventyx

The investment by US software company Ventyx in Xcel Energy’s $100 million SmartGridCity – a project aimed to get smart grid on the map in discussions in Washington – has played an integral role in the wider development of smart grid technology in the US. The rollout of the Ventyx Smart Grid Operations solution in July 2009 marked the completion of the first phase of the project.
