Asian private bank clients look to European equity-linked structured products

Interest from clients for European equity-linked structured products is increasing

With a significant outflow of money from emerging markets to developed markets as a result of renewed optimism in a eurozone recovery and on fears over the impact of US quantitative easing on emerging markets, Asian private banking clients are now looking to increase their exposure to European equity markets via structured products, say private bankers.

Traditionally for equity-linked structures, Asian private bank clients have tended to favour home markets within Asia but with the Hong Kong
