BarCap's El-Asmar takes on Asia-Pacific distribution as Burke switches to investor solutions

Barclays Capital's Philippe El-Asmar is moving to Hong Kong to take charge of the bank's distribution operations in the region, according to a source close to the bank.

El-Asmar is currently based in New York and is managing director, head of global investor solutions. His new role as head of distribution, Asia-Pacific will be effective from the beginning of January.

Kevin Burke, who currently holds that title, will move to London as BarCap's head of investor solutions. This means that the team
