Société Générale caters to rates caution with new structured products

Société Générale has launched a new range of products in the US targeted at investors concerned about the potential increase in interest rates, after they were pushed to new lows by central banks last year.

It has created a suite of bond indexes under its Société Générale Indexes (SGI) brand that synthetically replicate bond exposure across currencies and maturities. "General opinion seems to be that interest rates will go up in the near future, and this should have a negative impact on bonds,"
