Investors welcome e-trading growth

Electronic fixed-income trading is going through a purple patch with trading volumes growing by over 20% in 2004, according to a study by international research-based consulting firm Greenwich Associates. The growth in e-trading volumes occurred despite the fact that the proportion of institutions trading online increased in only one fixed-income product, remaining virtually flat for all others.

“Much of the growth in e-trading is attributable to new systems,” says Greenwich Associates
