Overseas boost for US corporate bond market

Overseas investors flocked into the US corporate bond markets in November of last year, according to data released by the Treasury Department in January. Net overseas activity in the corporate bond market totaled $29.69 billion, the second highest monthly volume on record and exceeded only by the $33.4 billion that was posted in May 2001.

This bucked the trend of the previous two months when the US market experienced a decline in overseas participation, states
