Morgan Stanley sees flurry of moves amid physical sales

Other commodities moves at Mercuria, EDF Trading, BTG Pactual & PVM

As Morgan Stanley cuts back its presence in physical oil, the US bank is seeing flurry of staff changes across its commodities unit. The moves include a spate of departures in Europe and North America, as well as two new hires in Singapore.

Tom O'Connor, the bank's New York-based head of crude oil trading, is leaving the firm after 14 years. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, he worked as a fuel trader for US refiner and marketer Tosco. It is not known where he is headed.
