The list of Asia’s top commodity dealers has been re-written in recent years, with some of the largest investment banks slimming down or closing desks completely due to falling revenues and regulatory pressure.
The shake-up means clients are placing a premium on consistency. It has also left Citi as one of the few large firms still registering growth in Asia and not making significant changes to its business model. “We stand out as the bank that has undergone the least change,” notes Jason Tu
