Deutsche Bank's third win in a row in the prime brokerage category comes amid continuing challenges for the Asia-Pacific hedge fund industry. Significant macro headwinds, political uncertainty and diminished opportunities saw most funds struggle to maintain a positive performance last year, with the Asia Hedge Asia Ex-Japan index falling 5.5% during Q2 2012 alone. It was also a tough year for fund liquidations, with closures rising to their highest level since 2008, and exceeding new launches
