India commodity exchange fights single CCP proposal

NCDEX finds itself in conflict with government clearing house proposals

The National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange of India is gearing up for a battle with the government over recommendations that there should be a single central counterparty (CCP) serving the whole domestic market.

NCDEX says that a series of multiple clearing houses connected via interoperability would help stimulate competition, foster innovation and drive costs down.
